We found Buster on a country road in Woodlake.
We had missed our intended turn off, and were traveling down a road that we would NEVER travel...when all of a sudden a little hairy thing came running into the road.
It turned out to be a little bloody puppy.
Despite having multiple puncture wounds, as well as some older, scabbed wounds, this little guy was lively and friendly.
He instantly came running up to us, and seemingly couldn't wait to get in the car.
We're assuming that his wounds were from larger dogs and/or coyotes...either way, we can honestly say that he wasn't likely to survive much longer on his own.
Buster is now fully healed, working on his crate training and fetch playing skills.
He's a high energy, but extremely sweet little guy.
We think he's a true "farm dog" special, so his mix of breeds is likely to have some shepherd etc.
We estimate that he is now around 3-4 months old, and estimate that his size at full grown will likely max out at 60 or 70lbs.
He's very loyal, and will follow you everywhere you go.
Buster will fit in just about anywhere, but would do best with an active family, and/or a property where he has room to run.
He loves other dogs, so a home with a companion dog is a must.
More video coming soon.
